Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF) was incorporated in Tanzania on 4^th March 2008 under Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP.318 R.E. 2002) as per certificate of incorporation No. 3352. The Fund is a replacement of the Cotton Development Fund (CDF), which was established under the auspices of the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001. Formation of the Fund was in line with the wishes of the Cotton Industry Stakeholders as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding which was signed on 21^st April 2006.

Cotton Development Trust Fund is looking for the qualified, young and dynamic Tanzanian to fill in the following vacant position under contractual basis.

POSITION: AGRICULTURAL OFFICER II (COTTON CLASSERS) - 2 POSTS

1.0Qualification (Education requirement):

Holder of Bachelor Degree in any of the following: Agriculture General, Agronomy, Agriculture Engineering, Irrigation, Agro-mechanization or any other related qualification from recognized institutions.

2.0Qualitative Requirement:

• The candidate must have good communication skills

• Should have a good command of English and Kiswahili languages

• Should have good cooperative skills with ability to work effectively with teams.

• Must be 18 years old and above

3.0Duties and responsibilities:

• §To classify cotton in accordance with rules, regulations and International Standards.

• §To conduct machines (HVI) calibration, sample testing.

• §To prepare and issue periodic reports on classification of cotton from various ginneries.

• §To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

4.0Duty Station: Shinyanga

5.0Duration: Six months subject for renewal

• 5.0 General Conditions:

Professional certificates

Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates

Birth Certificate or National Identity Card

• (iii)Form IV result slips are strictly not accepted. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate legal action.

• (iv)Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts in their CV.

• (v)Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for foreign non-degree certificates.

• (vi)Only qualified candidates will be contacted for further processes.

• (vii)Application closing date will be 13^rd June, 2025.

Remuneration: Remuneration will be paid according to TCB salary scale.
